Now you have your MM Integration up and running and can get to collecting data into it. This will not be much different from collecting data into the source Integration as it is just an individual Integration task run in both cases. A couple of details though:
- Data source for the source Integration is another platform or software whereas data source for the MM Integration is a source Integration or another MM Integration.
- Apart from data collection Integration tasks, MM Integrations also have the data preview Integration tasks.
To run such task, go to the Tasks page of your MM Integration.
At first, there's nothing to display as you haven't run any tasks yet.
We will not use the data preview Integration tasks this time as we know that there's not that much data to be collected and displayed. However, you might want to use the Preview Range one on 2-3 days date range just to see how it works.
So click RUN MANUALLY and select that task. Now you are to enter the other task run parameters.
Let's use the same old date range that we're using in these manuals:
- Task: Statistics Range
- From - To: Jan 1 - Jan 31, 2021
This is what it will look like:
We won't be using the Additional parameters here either. Just click RUN to run this Integration task.
Running an Integration task is only possible if the Integration is in the Running status.
The data collection task run log screen will appear, showing you the collection process for each day of the set date range. You can track the process status by this log and also the Integration task status.
For the MM Integration, the Statistics Range task performance does not only include collection of the data from connected source Integrations but also its transformation.
If everything goes well, wait till the Integration task status says STOPPED and there's Executed successfully confirmation in the log.
The individual data collection Integration task has been completed. The data for set date range was collected from your TikTok account and stored into your TikTok and Facebook source Integrations, transformed in accordance with the data flow and saved.
You can browse the resulting data table on the Browse data page of your MM Integration.
